Will there be any cell phone specials on Father\'s Day?

I plan on switching from Verizon to T-Mobile, but there doesn\'t seem to be any good deals at the moment. Someone told me that cell phone  deals (like no activation fee, free phones with new contract, etc) are usually during holidays like Father\'s Day. Is this true?
