I have a time warner cable dvr box (explorer 8300). It works fine, but it will randomly freeze and reboot when you\'re in the middle of watching something or click on the recorded stuff list.
So, I was watching a show and it rebooted itself. I didn\'t think much of it (we\'re all used to it rebooting on its own), until it finished rebooting. The time on the clock is wrong and when you go to the DVR list it says \'NO STRING\' on everything. Like when you would go to watch one of the recorded shows the options all say \'no string\'.
I can\'t record or see guide info for anything and have no clue what\'s wrong. I\'ve reset it 4 times or so and it\'s still messed up.
Help please!

DVRs crash every few years. Call Time Warner and they\'ll exchange it for a different one.
