depends on the capabilities of your TV see its manual

for antenna reception you need ATSC tuning for the United States

If it does not have that get a converter box and an antenna << OR >> for better pictures get a HDTV tuner by Samsung and connect via Component/Audio cables or via HDMI (assumes the TV has a proper HDMI connection)

Either way unless you want to switch to satellite you need an antenna
