Just follow your router\'s steps from CD and/or Manual as needed.

Here are some links to help you:

For wireless safety

Setting Up Your Router
http://www.youtube.com/user/PureNetworks

Once you setup your router, go to your web browser (such as Internet Explorer) and, in the address bar, type in the Default Address as shown on your router, so you can setup the routers terminal and settings.

Very Very Very Important:
Set your security level to WPA or higher and keep updating your router\'s FirmWare (similar to software) as needed.

WiFi Hackers take advantage of No Security and Wep and other security loop holes. Experts discovered that Wep has weak security.

If you want to shoot out a bigger WiFi Signal:

Your router alone creates a signal called a HotSpot (or wireless access). When you add a Cantenna to your Router it than becomes a HotZone or a wider signal.

You\'ll find that setting up a router can be a pain.

Devices \"must\" be able to do WiFi to go Wireless.

Your DeskTop Computer Most Likely will need a network card to use WiFi (thats if your computer doesn\'t have it and thats if you have multiple computers).

Please give details, if this wasn\'t the answer you were looking for.

plug your computer directly to ur router then go to routerlogin.net it will ask for a username and password...if you have netgear the username is admin and the password is password unless you have changed it. if you dont have netgear just google the default password...once you are logged in there you can see your password.
