How is the At&T U-verse service?

I have Direct-TV and Time Warner for phone and cable internet. I saw an ad online for At&T U-verse and wondered if this was a good service. If you have this service, do you like it? Any pros and cons? How is the costumer service if you had to contact them? Also is there a commitment contract with them, that you have to stay for at least a year or more before you can cancel? And how many boxes will they give you when you sign up? I wanted to switch my TV/Internet/phone for a while but I\'ve never found anything that I felt secure about. I\'m in the Riverside County area in CA if that helps.
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to answer!

i have had it since feb 2008. very happy with it. i have phone internet and uverse with att. cust service is very good. all english speaking and in the u.s. no more trying to understand people who get mad when you say \"what\"? you get 3 boxes, one that will record, but you can view the recorded programs on any of the boxes. about 100 hd channels, but it does cost 10 bucks a month. they always have some kind of a deal going, so you can get free months or cash. i really don\'t have any problems with it. at least it doesn\'t go off when it thunders or rains a state away from you like Satellite does. i have had cable, Satellite and now uverse, and this is best so far for me.
