Why won\'t my apple tv work?

Please help!  I have a DSL modem with qwest and a wireless router attachment that plugs into the top.  This supplies the internet perfectly to  my mac, as well as my Apple TV.  My question is why won\'t my apple tv show up in itunes devices list?  I\'ve done everything, turned off firewall, made sure sharing is on, and it just doesn\'t show up.  I\'ve tried everything everyone\'s mentioned!  This is a last attempt before I give up.  any suggestions would be great, as I\'ve wasted most of my day Fucking with this thing!

im pretty sure you need bonjour to sync/hook up wireless devices to a computer.
