They don\'t want to pay a human to give out the same advice over and over and over and over and over ... The on-line help resolves users resolve many issues on their own, and might help you avoid wasting 6 hours on hold.

Basically I think it is just to piss you off.
I like how the first poster totally didn\'t get it. The online help section for those with broken DSL is perfect for those type of folks.
