I have had DSL at three homes over the last few years in two states and from two companies (Qwest & Verizon). My internet went down roughly 2-3 times a week back in 2004. A simple modem reset usually corrected the situation, but frustrating nonetheless. In 2007 it still went down roughly 2-5 times a month. Slightly better buy still annoying. I just set my parents up with Qwest in Portland and it's already needed resetting twice this week. They are completely techno-UNsavvy and I'm worried about them being able to manage. I've always had flawless internet service through cable so I'm wondering if that's the route that's needed even on they're limited income.
