I would like to set up a home network but one with a little twist to it.  I have DSL with a modem.  However, this modem also acts as a wireless hub (http://www.qwest.com/internethelp/modems/motorola-3347/modemDetail_3347_installation.html).  Thus, my laptop is connected through the wireless network and the desktop is connected with an ethernet cable plugged into the modem.  I would like to link the two computers together, but I cannot create a LAN because the laptop is not linked with a ethernet cable and I cannot create a wireless network because the desktop does not have wireless internet access.  How do I create a network to incoperate both of these computers?
