Purchased used Qwest DSL modem.?

So I had been renting one from Qwest for 1 1/2yrs. Never knew I had the option to purchase one when I started thier service, that option was not offered to me. Anyways now that I know I dont have to rent one they still want to charge me $80 to buy the one Ive been renting that Ive already paid $90 for. So I found one on craigslist for $20, problem is when I hook that one up the light blinks for wireless which I dont have so I cant get internet service. How do I convert the box to match up with my service that I have?
