My internet on my laptop doesnt work please help me!?

Ok i have a Linksys EZXS55W router. It doesnt have a reset or on and off button. It just has a power plug in the back. I had internet from qwest and it worked fine. Now i have internet from a cable company and the wire on the modem has to be put into the wall. I tried turning the modem and router off but it still doesn't work. I don't know how to fix this please someone help me.
