can someone help with my Qwest Dsl problems?

this is rely starting to piss me off...
every time i play ANY internet game, it usually stays connected for an hour then drops. after that it drops randomly. one time it dropped 2 minutes after another drop. i usually get about half an hour of time between drops. ALSO every time someone calls is drops
any help?
i dont have a filter on the cable that plugs into the phone line from the modem.
im only using the "line" and "enthernet" ports on the modem.
the enthernet port plugs into a router, which is wireless and has a cable that conects to a netgear 5 port switch.
