so, i live in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere (camp verde, arizona 86322) we have "qwest wireless" and "comspeed" as our only two choices for ISPs. Now, im from a big city originally where cox cable is the main provider, and im used to a speedy internet. out here, the ISPs are slower than dial up despite their "high speed dsl" claims... is there a way i can make my internet go faster? getting a large-scale ISP like cox cable is out of the question, im in one of those towns where only "local business" is allowed...

Basic tenet of computing: "Garbage In, Garbage Out"

There is nothing in your settings, programs, peripherals nor computer to substantially boost a slow network connection.

I'm afraid you will have to wait/look for a better provider. Sorry.

Happy hunting though.
