Cox Internet: My download Speed dropped, please help!?

Ok, me and my family have been using Cox high-speed internet for over a year now, at the beggining like all good isp providers. The connection was very very good, but after a year since then I\'ve been getting around 200kb/s when I use to get like 2Mb/s.What is usually the speed of cox high-speed internet anyways? I ran a speed test on the first month and got a good 17megabits and now I get 1.5megabits... Anyone have any suggestion to this problem I am getting? I have already emailed cox communications, but they haven\'t seemed to reply after 3 days... So, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The reason yours has dropped is because there is more traffic on the outside line. The cause of this is probably because someone in your neighborhood recently got Cox and is using it at the same time you are.
