Comcast Cable with TiVo service?

I have Comcast Cable, Internet, and phone services, and I was wondering how I would go about getting TiVo, because I've heard that it works with your Comcast service?

to get tivo all you have to do is go buy it at best buy or any major electronis store. the thing is that you buy the box which could run you 300$ or more and than you will have to pay a monthly charge of 13$.  Its a lot cheaper to rent a DVR from comcast.  Plus if the tivo breaks its your equipment and you have to deal with it.  With comcast if it breaks they replace it for no charge.  Also with a tivo you will need to rent a cable card from comcast to recieve the channels from them, so you won't get on demand either.
