Why Won't My Internet Work When I Use My Home Phone?

Everytime we use the phone at my house, our internet connection cuts and out network name disappears from the network list until we hang the phone up.  We have a high speed internet connection from Charter Communications and we have a modem and a router. What's going on?  Thanks.

I know the issue! my dad had it (that is if you are using a cordless phone) The wireless signal from the cordless phone would be disrupting the wireless router. Only solution is buy a new router or a new phone. If that isn't the case I'm sorry wish i could do more

If you're on wireless, your cordless phone might be causing it. Call your ISP and they should be able to walk you through how to change your wireless frequency to stop this.

Do you have the filters that come from your ISP installed on your phone lines?

this is the hardware problem. its having a single hardware used in the phone modem...so thts why it is happening.
