When the HDMI cable is hooked up to the cable box and the plasma tv, I only get audio on NON-high definition channels. I contacted Charter and they "sent" a "fix" to the cable box to fix the problem. It didn't work. Charter has come again today to try a different cable box. That didn't work. Basically, I can't get the audio portion to work on the high definition channels. I have a Maxent 50HPT51 and Charter is my cable company. FYI: When i hook up monster cables to the tv and cable box everything works fine, but this takes away from my XBOX 360 input. So I'd rather us the HDMI cable for the tv/cable and component for xbox 360. The video portion always works, just not the audio.
To Shazamm, the tv doesn't have the option for 5.1 or pcm AND neither does the cable box "setup". I'm at a loss.
