I have an LG HDTV and i am watching some of my HD channels. I am also using charter cable, so i have a cable box that my channels are coming through...the cable box only has a DVI input, so i bought a dvi/hdmi converter. I plugged the dvi input to the cable box and the HDMI end into the back of the TV. However when i switch to HDMI there is great picture and no sound. I still have the component cables, and when i switch BACK to the component there is both picture and sound. I tried again switching back to the HDMI and its just picture, no sound..anyone know how i can get sound with HDMI?..maybe im missing something

You are missing an audio cable from the cable box to the TV.
The DVI carries picture only. The TV should have an audio input associated with HDMI when it is connected to a DVI port with an adapter.
