\"Fundamental Freedoms

FUNDAMENTAL FREEDOMS.
2. Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:

(a) freedom of conscience and religion;
(b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;
(c) freedom of peaceful assembly; and
(d) freedom of association.\"
(Canadian Charter of Rights & Freedoms)

What exactly do they mean by \"freedom of association\" and are there limitations applying to it? By age etc.?

Basically, the right to join together for expressive or political purposes cannot be barred by the government. But the right is not absolute. Usually the gov can infringe on this right if it has a compelling state interest, which is unrelated to the suppression of expression of ideas and, no less restrictive means to achieving this interest are available.

That\'s all I got on the topic Smiley
