We had our UVerse installed in our office and use the central router as a direct connection to our computer.  We are now converting the office into a nursery and must move our setup to another room.  I know that UVerse has a specific cable-routing scheme.  Is this a do-it-yourself task or is this something I should call service out for?  Are there instructions out there on how to do that?

This is going to be a "try it out yourself" type job. If you call in about it, it'll be considered an "on-demand" issue; which generally requires a payment. (Around 40$).

The only thing you really need to be sure of, is that you don't change any of the cables connected to the RG (or central router as you called).

You can't simply move it and plug in the cables of another room; it may cause issues (but oddly has worked for some people before).
